Work

In our research group, we're looking at how people change their travel habits when new urban models (15-mins city, LTN, car-free city, superblock model, cycling infrastructure) are implemented. We're interested in how people interact with their physical environment to model personal exposures (air quality, noise, physical activity, access to green and blue spaces, traffic accidents/injuries, and heat exposure). All of these factors together influence population health, including illness and even death. My research focuses on understanding these changes through computer models that simulate how people and transportation systems interact. I model how people make their travel choices, like using a car or active modes of transport (walking/cycling). Right now, I'm actively involved in two research projects, JIBE and GLASST, which are helping us achieve our research goals.
